KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Dr. Deborah Prothrow-Stith  Dr. Deborah Prothrow-Stith is a nationally recognized health leader who is a youth violence expert, physician and author. As a physician working in inner-city Boston, she broke new ground with her efforts to have youth violence defined as a public health problem, not just a criminal justice issue. She is a Spelman College and Harvard Medical School graduate and a member of the prestigious Institute of Medicine. KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Elizabeth "Liz" Huntley  Liz Huntley is an accomplished litigation attorney, and dedicated child advocate, author and lecturer. She practices law at Lightfoot, Franklin & White, LLC in Birmingham, Alabama and earned her law degree from the University Of Alabama School Of Law where she now serves on the Law School Foundation Board of Governors. Who Should Attend: This conference is for child welfare workers, mental health professionals, school personnel, juvenile justice workers, policymakers and program administrators and organizational leaders from public and private agencies that work with at-risk children and families.  LOGISTICS: Continuing Education Credits: up to 6 credits available for PSY, MFT, and LCSW's APA: Children’s Institute, Inc. is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Children’s Institute, Inc. maintains responsibility for this program and its content.  The California Board of Behavioral Science (BBS) now recognizes APA continuing education credit for license renewal for LCSWs and MFTs.
