Chs-Ab Annual General Meeting
For those who have not yet attended an AGM, it is great fun. Dozens of clan members begin arriving on Friday. Friday night is usually an informal gathering of everyone when the “Water of Life” flows almost as freely as the conversations with those we have not seen since the last gathering. Saturday is spent soaking in the sights and sounds of a game we are usually attending for the first time. As anyone knows that has visited more than one game, there is much that is the same between different games, but they each have their own distinct personality. Some time during Saturday afternoon, we have the actual AGM. Here all members come together, like a Board of Directors, to tend to the “official” business of the Clan. On Saturday night, we again come together for the Clan Dinner. Sunday is the time for hugs and handshakes as we all prepare to return to the un-kilted world and plan for next year. If you have never attended an AGM, you have missed one of the best benefits of belonging to Clan Hay. Joining a boisterous gaggle of two score or more shouting A HAY! … A HAY! … A HAY! … leaves little doubt as to why our clan has survived to today, and why we are so popular at games.
See you there!
