Kathak master Pandit Chitresh Das calls the Bay Area home, but praises for his compelling artistry echo around the globe. His company members have also become established artists in their own right, earning critical acclaim for their abilities to exemplify the technical, graceful, and dramatic aspects of kathak dance. Pandit Das's new work Shiva immerses the audience in the depth and breadth of this mystical entity, examining the balance between destruction and creation.
