CACFP HEALTHY CUISINE FOR KIDS 2-DAY TRAINING

Healthy Cuisine for Kids is an interactive, “hands-on” culinary training held over two consecutive days. This innovative training will accommodate 20 to 25 participants divided into 4-5 person work teams and is conducted by an Institute of Child Nutrition (ICN) Chef and a Registered Dietitian. The trainers will be providing both classroom and hands-on experiences in a culinary lab on healthful cooking methods. The culinary labs will involve participants in preparing, presenting, tasting, and evaluating USDA award-winning child-approved recipes. Safety and sanitation principles are demonstrated and practiced throughout the training. Training attendees will be charged a $50.00 non-refundable per person registration fee to cover the cost of meals for both days at the training site. You must attend both days to receive the 16 training hours credit.This will be a two consecutive day training.

 Culinary Labs and Cooking Demo:

This training begins promptly at 9:00am (2-day training)

  • Culinary Basics
  • Fruits and Vegetables
  • Whole Grain-Rich Foods
  • Meat/Meat Alternates
  • Safety and sanitation principles

 The target audience: Cooks, food service directors, and kitchen staff. 

9:00am – 5:00pm Healthy Cuisine for Kids

2-day training = 16 hours

Due to target audience and limited capacity, no walk-in participants will be allowed to attend. No refunds will be given for this training. No waitlist.
