Learn how to create and apply this circus-inspired look for your own face! This look was created using fun makeup techniques commonly used by professional stage performers to become a unique character. We will focus on covering up the eyebrows using scar wax and the reshaping of the lips. Afterwards, let’s put on a costume, smile, and take a picture!
Required materials to bring:
The workshop will provide Ben Nye scar wax. Some makeup and tools will also be available to share. So it’s absolutely okay if you don’t have something in particular. There is no absolute right or wrong way to do makeup! Be creative and we can work with whatever materials we have.
About the instructor:
The workshop will be taught by Vivian Tam, a professional circus artist living in Redmond. For the past 13 years, she has performed throughout the greater Seattle area and in Europe. Currently, you may spot Vivian performing at Suite Lounge in Bellevue, where she is resident aerialist. She is also an aerialist with AIDA Cruise. When she is not performing on stage or sailing the high seas, Vivian is busy teaching aerial arts and various circus workshops. Naturally shy, Vivian learned to embrace makeup as a way to develop her stage performance. She has previously studied makeup application with ColourBox Makeup and special effects makeup workshops hosted by PNTA.
