Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®) Certification Workshop 

This is a 2 day course hosted by a Scrum Alliance® Certified Scrum Trainer®.

 


 

CSM® + CSPO® Workshop 

This is a 4 day course hosted by a Scrum Alliance® Certified Scrum Trainer®. The first 2 days (Thurs Oct 5th - Fri Oct 6th) will be focused on CSM. Second 2 days (Sat Oct 7th- Sun Oct 8th) will be focused on CSPO.

 Includes certification costs for both courses.

 Both courses taught by Steve Spearman.

Certified Scrum Product Owner Workshop

This is two-day course will provide the expertise needed to utilize Scrum to develop and innovate from concept to product. Develop the skills needed to communicate with Scrum teams and create a product backlog that is clear and manageable. Trainers provide hands-on exercises and practices to translate their real-world experience into applicable and usable skills for students to add to their repertoir of abilities. Learn the value of effective communication with development teams and customers to facilitate effective sprints and develop an excellent product.

The Certified Product Owner® (CSPO) course is a two-day, entry-level course taught by a Certified Scrum Trainer®. The CSPO course is designed to cover all the basics of Scrum and also provide a large amount of material devoted to the Product Owner role.

  • Scrum basics and core values
  • How the Scrum framework compares to other methods and when to use Scrum
  • A Scrum team’s three roles and responsibilities
  • The scope of the Product Owner’s role in detail
  • The ScrumMaster and Team roles at a high level
  • Developing a Product Vision and its role in galvanizing the team
  • Different estimation levels in Scrum
  • The Product Backlog—what it is (and is not) and how to groom and prioritize
  • Release Management and measuring velocity
  • Sprint planning and Daily Scrum Meeting
  • Ways to effectively deal with stakeholders

 

Course Video: 

Two-day (16 hour) CSPO course taught by a Certified Scrum Trainer® (CST®) or Endorsed Scrum Trainer® (EST®).

  • PMP’s: This course counts for 15 Professional Development Units (PDUs).
  • Scrum Alliance Members: This course counts for 16 Scrum Education Units (SEUs).
  • PMI-ACP: This course counts is 15 of the 21 contact hours needed to be eligible for the PMI-ACP certification.

 

About the Trainer: 

Steve Spearman is a CST with Agile for All. His focus is on Scrum training & Agile coaching at the enterprise and team levels. Steve has over 30 years of experience in corporate software development as a software developer, architect, project manager, Scrum coach, and multiple management positions. His enterprise experience spanned Bell Laboratories, Lucent, Avaya, and Cisco Systems. Steve has a BA in Psychology and a Masters in Computer Science. His certifications include: Certified Scrum Trainer (CST), SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), Certified LeSS Practitioner, PMI-ACP, PMP, Certified Scrum Product Owner, and Certified ScrumMaster.

In order for us to provide the most experienced instructors and a superior classroom environment, we must ask you to adhere to our cancellation policy. If it is necessary to cancel or reschedule this registration, please notify us immediately. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

  • 11 or more business days prior to class, 100% refund of tuition.
  • 1-10 business days prior to class, no refund, but may reschedule another class within one year of date of cancelled class.
  • First day of class, no refund of tuition, retake policy may apply.
