Certified Scrum Master CSM class (virtual, live, no slides)

This Certified Scrum Master (CSM) class is an interactive learning experience full of practical, real-world techniques and hands-on exercises. Learn in-depth the key principles of Agile, explore the practices that define the Scrum framework, and start changing the way you work.

Format: Virtual, with live instructor, and group exercises. No slides

Course length: 3 half-days (8:30am - 1:00pm EDT)

Certification: This class includes the Certified Scrum Master exam administered by the Scrum Alliance for the certification. Upon completion of the class and of the assignments, the students are eligible to take the exam.

About the training experience

This course is based on modern adult instructional methods to facilitate learning, create a fun and productive environment, and have fun in the process.

We use zero slides (no slides, nil, nada). The whole class is based on interactive exercises, simulations, and class discussions. The instructor explains key concepts and brings in real-life stories, and participants learn from applying the concepts and from sharing with each other.

We incorporate innovation games into the exercises. You will experience these useful frameworks that you can use spark innovation and collaboration with your team members.

About the trainer

This class is led by Valerio Zanini, CST, CSM, CSPO. Valerio has more than 20 years of professional experience spanning software development, system integration, agile transformation, design thinking, and product innovation. He helps organizations worldwide adopt Scrum, improve product development practices, and increase productivity. He provides consulting and training to organizations of any size, helping them become more innovative with Agile, Scrum, SAFe, product management, and Design Thinking practices.

Formerly, a Director of Product Development at Capital One where he led digital transformation initiatives for retail bank and transformed how customers interact with bankers. Before Capital One, Valerio was the co-founder and CEO of Goozex.com, and a Systems Engineer at Cisco.

He is a Certified Scrum Trainer and Scrum Master, SAFe Program Consultant, and Certified Product Owner. He is also a certified instructor in Innovation Games and in Training from the Back of the Room. He is the author of “Deliver Great Products That Customers Love”, published in 2018.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation requests submitted at least 7 business days or more prior to the start of the course are entitled to a full refund. Students submitting cancellation requests less than 7 business days prior to the start of the course will be offered a credit toward a future CSM course of equivalent value within one year, or a refund of 50% the amount paid for registration. No shows on either day of the class receive no refund. Should the organizer cancel the course for any reason, each registered student will be issued a full refund.

Prerequisites

There is no required prior certificate, educational background, or work experience needed to participate in the CSM course, complete the exam, and receive the certification.

We understand that at times like these, our work routine may be disrupted - kids may be home or your cat may walk in front of your camera. No worries, we will adjust and will find a way to make the class experience enjoyable to everyone.
