Have you been looking for that special something to help you “get in the door” of large corporations? If you are a woman-owned and operated business, that something could be the Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) Certification. Although not a guarantee of business, the WBE Certification has been proven to provide a competitive edge in obtaining corporate contracts. National in scope and issued by a third-party agency Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), the WBE Certification is recognized by over a thousand major corporations and government agencies in the U.S. Attend our popular “Is Certification Right For You?” workshop to see if the leading woman’s business certification is right for you. Ideal participants should be a part of a business that at least 51% owned, managed and controlled by a woman or women, and whose target market includes corporate America. ABOUT THE WORKSHOP: Gain an understanding of whether or not your business could qualify for women business certifications. Learn the overall benefits of WBE certification and then be able to determine if certification will actually benefit your business. All of the local, state and federal government certifications available in Minnesota will be covered. WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Participants must be part of a business that at least 51% owned, actively managed and controlled by a woman or women. In addition, participants should be interested in acquiring corporate contracts. If you are already certified as a WBE through WBENC, you do not need to attend this workshop.

Complimentary parking is available in the parking lot in front of the building. REGISTRATION: The non-refundable workshop fee is $20 (includes a box lunch and workshop materials). Please register online by 09/20/18 at https://www.wbdc.org/events/.

Registration Instructions: • You can’t register several people at once.
