The City of Fremont Fire Department is offering CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) training. This training will teach you how to get your home and family ready for earthquakes or other disasters as well as how to help your neighbors and your community in the event of a disaster. The Class meets for one full weekend. Take part in making Fremont more resilient by registering for this class. Space is limited.
Class Schedule is as follows:
July 19, 2019 : 7pm-10pm
July 20, 2019 : 8am-5pm (Lunch 12pm-1pm)
July 21, 2019 : 8am-5pm (Lunch 12pm-1pm)
Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
Must be a resident of the City of Fremont, CA.
Must attend all dates (sessions) to complete the CERT curriculum.
CERT Training = FREE classes with detail, “hands-on” training in:
- Gas / Electric / Water Utility control
- Hazardous Material Recognition
- Building Damage Assessment
- Small Fire Fighting
- Search and Rescue
- First Aid / Triage
- Lifting heavy objects off trapped persons
- Lifting and moving injured people
- Incident Command System and Disaster Communications
