Celebrate Pride DeTOUR℠
On this colorful MAGsocial DeTOUR℠, we will uncover the secret lives and lovers of LGBTQ+ artists in our collection. We will explore sexual identity and the human desire to belong, along with Europe’s part in Queer Culture (QC). QC was widely accepted in ancient Rome and then banned in Nazi Germany. We’ll uncover which artist belonged to a clandestine gay bohemian circle, who can rock a bomb pair of heels, and what’s up with horses in queer representation. We will be joined by our fab friend and LGBTQ+ advocate, Bella Clemente.
We strongly encourage that, if you are interested in attending events hosted by the Memorial Art Gallery, you RSVP or purchase tickets prior to the event’s date. In most cases, there are limited number of seats for each event and the number of tickets being sold at the door will be based on the amount of tickets sold prior to the day of the event. Unfortunately, if seats sell out, the Memorial Art Gallery will need to ask individuals to leave if they have not purchased a ticket already. We ask you to please keep in mind that seats run out quickly at the door and are sold based on a first-come, first-served basis.
