An award-winning, young jazz songstress, CÉCILE MCLORIN SALVANT has dazzled audiences around the world with her expressive style and masterful vocal technique. Winner of the 2010 Thelonious Monk Competition in Washington D.C., Cécile has been called a “true and remarkable jazz singer…a young jazz prodigy,” by Paris Hot Club Magazine. Cécile rediscovers lost gems with a soulful expression that inhabits the songs the way an actress embodies a character. In 2016, she won a GRAMMY Award for Best Jazz Vocal Album.

Cécile has performed at numerous festivals including Jazz à Vienne, Ascona, Spoleto Festival, and the Detroit Jazz Festival as well as prestigious venues including the Kennedy Center, Chicago Symphony Hall and Jazz at Lincoln Center. She has performed with renowned musicians such as Jean-Francois Bonnel, Rodney Whitaker, Dan Nimmer, Jacky Terrasson, Aaron Diehl, and Wynton Marsalis.

At 27 years of age, Cécile is quickly becoming a leader of her generation by inspiring a new audience to discover the joy of jazz. Her debut recording, WOMAN CHILD, was released on Mack Avenue Records in 2013.
