The CCHP Chinese New Year Run is an annual fundraiser benefiting Chinatown YMCA’s Physical Education Program (PEP) and Community Center, which serves 1,600 youth and families in Chinatown with wellness and community programs each week.
The course is a 5K RUN/WALK or a 10K RUN (no 10K walkers, please) and starts at 8:00AM on Grant Avenue/Sacramento Street. It finishes at 9:30am on Kearny/Sacramento Street. The course has some short hills but is mostly flat. Mile markers along the way are on the right side of the course. The 5K is one time around the course and the 10K is two loops around the course.
Afterwards, enjoy post-event awards, refreshments, and fun for the family at Portsmouth Square! There will be water and fruit available, goody bags, winner announcements, and presentation of the best dressed RAT! Visit booths from our sponsors and the Chinatown YMCA for more goodies.
