Kwame Hylton is a native of Jamaica where he graduated from high school at 16 years old. Shortly after graduation he emigrated to Miami, Florida to live with his mother.
He earned a B.A. in Fine Arts from Miami International University of Art and Design. He then earned a Masters of Business Administration from Kaplan University. His first job was to provide the illustrations for a children's book.
He joined Purdue University in 2006 as an Admissions Advisor. After a stellar first year during which he became a member of both the President's Club and the Dean's Club, he was promoted to Associate Director of the Office of Returning Students. He is also a nominee for the Spirit of Kaplan award. Kwame is a recent graduate of Lifework Leadership.
Kwame is a portrait artist, plays team soccer and recently returned from a 3-week mission trip in children's ministry from Myanmar (Burma).
