Anne Minich: HEADS Series with Matthew Sepielli's Cathedral Opening Reception in the Cathedral: January 10, 2020, 5:00 - 7:00 pm The Cathedral presents an exhibition of new and retrospective works by Anne Minich from her ongoing series "Heads." The exhibit will be augmented by Matthew Sepielli's "Cathedral," a set of 10 plaster pieces meant to be touched as well as viewed. Beginning in the 1970's, artist Anne Minich frequently returned to the creation of works having the silhouette of a gender-neutral head at their center. These iconic, mixed-media works engage stories and symbols of Christianity as well as personal responses to moral issues of the day. Combining wood, paint, and found objects with powerful clarity, they reveal the extraordinary imaginative range of Anne Minich's artistry over the course of her long and prodigious career.
