Castle Rock Family Walk

A moderate loop hike on wide trails undulating through oak grasslands and oak groves. Castle Rock is a peregrine falcon nesting area with beautiful geologic formations to behold. Be sure to bring plenty of water, a snack, and dress in layers. Sturdy shoes or hiking boots recommended.

Meet: Entrance of Castle Rock Park. 1700 Castle Rock Rd, Walnut Creek.

Directions: From Ygnacio Valley Rd head south on Oak Grove Rd, continue through the round-a-bout, Oak Grove becomes Castle Rock Rd, follow to the end of the road.
