Caregiver's Conference - "The Fearless Caregiver. You Are Not Alone"

We are pleased to announce the Annual Fearless Caregiver’s Conference to be held at Doko Manor, Blythewood, SC, on October 26, 2019 from 9-3 pm. This is the second year that this conference has been held in our community. Last year, there was more than 100 attendees. We expect even larger number of attendees this year simply because more individuals are now responsible for caring for loved ones.  We invite you to attend this conference and obtain critical and life-changing information about the various forms of Dementia including Alzheimer’s disease. Caregivers will be able to get answers to their most pressing concerns about the daily challenges of caregiving, the physical and emotional issues of caregiving, respite care, time management, financial costs of caregiving, loss of work time and career opportunities and so much more. We are bringing back Dr. Macie Smith, Licensed Social Worker, notable Gerontologist, and Author, to kick off our program, with her “Dementia Speaks” presentation. Additional speakers will cover topics such as wills, healthcare and durable power of attorney, DHEC requirements for nursing home and other facilities that serve the elderly population, Project Hope and Project, the S. C. Office of Aging, the Alzheimer’s Association, caring for the Caregiver and much more. This is a free event, but you must register in order to attend.
