Community Backyards is an educational class that offers one $50 reimbursement to eligible Franklin County residents on one of the following: Rain Barrel, Compost Bin, Native Plants or Trees.

Eligible residents who attend the class, where conservationists will teach improving water quality with rain barrels and rain gardens, why native plants are so important, how composting improves soil conditions, and proper lawncare techniques will receive a voucher with listed eligible rebate items for their community.

*Please register in advance so eligibility can be verified and vouchers can be created beforehand. Those who attend but do not pre-register will not have a voucher the day of but can request to have one emailed to them once eligibility has been verified. 

NOTE: Classes are open and FREE for anyone to attend. Vouchers and rebates available are based on your home tax district. Not all participants will qualify for reimbursement on all items.
