Camp Innovation

Join us for TechBirmingham's first kids coding camp: Camp Innovation! The kids will participate in a week of learning and developing skills to create and build their very own app. Every day will be filled with lessons to teach kids step by step the process, and afternoons will be spent on applying what they have learned.

In addition to making the app, they will participate in group activities to help foster friendship and teamwork with other campers. There will be prizes throughout the week and an excursion to Rail Road Park.

Open to rising 6th graders to 8th grade.

Where is the event?

Innovation Depot, 1500 1st Ave North, Birmingham, AL 35203

What time can I drop my child off? What time do I need to pick them up?

Drop off no earlier than 8:30 am each day.  Children will be ready for pick up between 3:30 and 4:00 pm each day.

Will there be early/after care available?

No

What can/can't I bring to the event?

You will need to bring a laptop. Water bottle, earphones, and anything needed for outdoor activities is optional.

Will lunch be provided?

Lunch and snacks will be provided at this event.  If your child has a food allergy, please indicate that in the registration.  We will attempt to accommodate your child’s allergy, but please send some food items with your child in the event we cannot.

What if our plans change and my child is not able to attend?

Due to a limited number of spots and planning required for this camp, there are no refunds. Please make sure your child is able to attend before registering.
