Call For Entries! Wendy Wagner Foundation 2020 Winter Creative Grant

The Wendy Wagner Foundation 2020 Winter Creative Award is an unrestricted grant of $2500 given to one female visual artist within the greater Houston area who demonstrates original expressions of contemporary art. Winston Contemporary Art will host an exhibition of the finalists during International Women’s Month. Apply by February 28th to be considered.

To apply, email the following to grants@wendywagnerfoundation.org:
• Link to artist’s website, if available
• 3-5 digital files of artist’s work
• A CV, resume, or brief bio that includes artist’s name
• A statement which provides insight into the artist’s submitted work. In less than 250 words, describe the vision and creative process. The statement should include any relevant details on special processes or techniques the artist has utilized.
• *Each uploaded file must be labeled with the artist’s full name and content. For example: firstname.lastname.resume.pdf or firstname.lastname.image1.jpg.
The application process is open to all female visual artists who:
• Live and work in Harris County.
• Have resided in Houston/Harris County for at least one year prior to the application deadline.
• Are not currently enrolled in an art-related degree program or long-term residency, nor planning to attend an art-related degree program or long-term residency in the coming year.
• Are not related to WWF directors in any way.

Finalists will be announced on March 3rd and the winner of the grant will be announced on March 12th.
