BRMP® Foundation Qualification: Purpose
The BRMP® training and certification program is intended as a comprehensive foundation for Business Relationship Managers at every experience level, with the training and certification designed to provide a solid baseline level of knowledge.
BRMP® Foundation Qualification: Target Audience
This qualification is aimed at those with a Business Relationship Management position or those that need to understand and build out their own ‘relationship management’ capabilities. Additionally, this course is for those within the Business, Provider (internal or external IT/Services), and Consultants looking to gain general insight into Business Relationship Management.
BRMP® Foundation Qualification: Learning Objectives
Holders of the BRM Institute Business Relationship Management Professional (BRMP®) credentials will be able to demonstrate their understanding of:
The characteristics of the BRM role.
What it means to perform as a strategic partner, contributing to business strategy formulation and shaping business demand for the provider’s services.
The use of Portfolio Management disciplines and techniques to maximize realized business value.
Business Transition Management and the conditions for successful change programs to minimize value leakage.
The BRM role in Service Management and alignment of services and service levels with business needs.
The principles of effective and persuasive communication.
Training and Certification Approach
The course will be delivered over three days, from 8:30am to 5:00pm, with breaks each morning and afternoon (provided), along with lunch (attendees able to leave and purchase at nearby restaurants).
Upon course completion, participants will be eligible to immediately take the BRMP® exam. This takes 40 minutes, comprises 50 questions, with a passing grade of 50%. For those wanting to take the exam at a later time, this can be done at an APMG center or online through the APMG remote proctoring capability (which requires a webcam-enabled computer).
Along with a practice exam, we will have quizzes and plenty of time for class discussion to help in your learning. I will enrich the course with valuable anecdotes from my many years as a BRM, along with time training and consulting in this area across a variety of companies.
What can I bring into the event?
You must bring your laptop in order to take the online exam on the final afternoon of the class. Manuals will be provided.

What's the refund policy?
You will receive a full refund (minus Eventbrite fees) if you cancel before 30 days before the start of the course. In the event we are unable to fill a class, we will notify you 30 days before the scheduled start of the class and you will receive your full refund.
Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

What is the appropriate dress code for the class?
Please come dressed in comfortable clothes, with most coming in business-casual attire.
