Think of this session as a career call-to-action for designers of color. You'll get advice on breaking into design/ ux/ product and insights on career planning and building your design career. And get your questions answered, too! Earl might not have all the answers, but he'll share many alternative strategies and insights that he has found really useful in building his own amazing design career.

About our speaker:

Earl Carlson worked on news at Facebook, designed and then later managed a team at DigitalOcean, worked on a connected camera at Nokia, and helped Wikipedia revamp their editing tools. He's also helped a bunch of startups and non-profits push forward various initiatives. Carl has a lovely wife with whom he travels the world. So we are lucky and excited to have him with us in New York for the night.
