Claim Academy is pleased to introduce our free monthly Building Block Series, highlighting various topics in tech and entrepreneurship. Claim Academy is a St. Louis-based developer boot camp that offers 12-week classes in Full Stack Java and .NET/C# programming, as well as shorter classes in software development, technology and career development.

The Building Blocks Series is sponsored by EQ, which was created in 2015 to raise the visibility of the St. Louis startup scene. EQ is passionate about sharing the journeys and best practices of startups, entrepreneur support organizations and other individuals and groups in the St. Louis startup ecosystem in an effort to support and grow the movement here in St. Louis.

The Building Blocks Series is hosted by Covo, a dual-location Coworking Space (St. Louis and San Francisco) which offers dedicated offices, open membership and hourly coworking. Covo St. Louis is located at 4th & Pine in Downtown St. Louis. From 5:30-6:30, registered guests are welcome to gather in Covo's downstairs atrium for a networking hour. Drinks & food will be available.

Claim Academy understands that when one woman helps another, amazing things can happen - professional careers leap forward. Therefore, July 18th's topic for the Building Blocks Series is Women in Tech.

It's no secret that women encounter significant barriers to entry and success within the technology sector. Though institutions and businesses actively work to understand and combat this problem, many women still lack the necessary resources and information to control their own tech career success. Join Claim Academy's Marketing Director, Nicole Huguley, for an engaging evening of dialogue at the Women in Tech Panel, hosted at Covo, a female-owned co-working space in Downtown St. Louis. Three panelists, all women who work in technology-focused roles, will share their stories and advice and will respond to questions from attendees. All are welcome to join in the dialogue.

July’s panel will feature:

  • Rebecca Brian Pan, CEO of Covo
  • Emily Kraft, graduate of Claim Academy and Web Developer at Financial Network, Inc.
  • Laura Walter, Director of Marketing at United Access

The panel will be moderated by Nicole Huguley, Director of Marketing for Claim Academy.
