What to Expect from the Session

Fee Transparency!

These are the monthly costs you can expect with maintaining your website (these fees are not paid to me nor do I receive any commission from them!) :

$12 / month for basic squarespace account; OR

$18 / month for premium account (includes email @ yourdomain.com, as well as e-commerce capabilities); AND

$2 / month (average) to receive a domain name (if you don't have one already)

What you can expect from our 2 hour session:

Getting clear about who your target website users are, so that we may effectively "speak" to them through design, content, products, etc.

Being choiceful regarding a website template: this is perhaps the MOST important part of the session, because everything is built from here.

Building content that is appealing to your audience (bonus if you prepare this before our session so we can focus on design!!!)

Selecting images (from your gallery or elsewhere) that complement our selected design and content.

Building a user flow that is consistent, easily understandable, and adds value to the client experience.

Understanding how to increase traffic to your website (Search Engine Optimization, Social Media feeds, etc)

Using the included analytic tools from Squarespace to understand where your traffic is coming from and what content they enjoy accessing the most.

How you can keep your website audience as engaged as possible through continued content generation or newsletters!

** Note that depending on the amount of content you bring to our first session (text as well as images), we may be able to complete all of the tasks above, but it is also possible that another session may be needed.

About Day:

Day holds a 4-year degree in Marketing & Entrepreneurship from the McIntire School of Commerce (UVA) (#2 ranked Business School in America). After completing the program, he worked as an e-commerce consultant for Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. He spent over two years studying purchase behavior on Retail and Travel websites (US and International) and presented these findings to C-level executives of Credit Card Institutions, Banks, as well as Digital Payments companies such as PayPal.

After six years of sitting behind a desk gazing deeply in excel spreadsheets, enough was enough. He left his corporate career behind to begin anew as a world traveler, visiting over 40 countries in five years. After successfully immigrating to the European Union and opening a digital consultancy business in the Netherlands, he felt fulfilled, accomplished, and ready to bring all his new skills, tools, and tricks back to America.

Today, he spends most of his time moving his body and guiding others through that experience as well. He facilitates a wide variety of "Medicine through Movement" classes and you're most likely to find him on the dance floor, at the hotsprings, or on a yoga mat.
