Building Capacity for Developing Strategies for Working with Individuals with Brain Injuries.

Registration 8:00 am to 8:30 am

As a follow-up to the educational program, Brain Injury Basics – Connecting, Disconnecting, Reconnecting, and Rerouting, the Brain Injury Alliance of AZ (BIAAZ) is hosting the pilot of a new one day educational program on May 21, 2018 provided by the Governor’s Council on Spinal and Head Injuries and Rehabilitation Services Administration’s Vocational Rehabilitation Program (RSA/VR).  As this is a pilot of the program, space is limited to thirty-two participants. 

The workshop is designed to build the capacity of the participants to develop strategies for working with clients with brain injury and their families.  This interactive program provides an approach to and shares tools for developing strategies through discussions and scenario work.  The presenters will include Ann Tarpy from the Governor’s Council on Spinal and Head Injuries, Chris and Amy Hotaling from Aspire Place, and B. J. Tatro, PhD., consultant with Shea & Associates, Chrystal Snyder, Education Consultant.

Registration is required.  Breakfast and lunch is included.
