Lunch@65West presents a forum with FBI Special Agent in Charge Jeffrey Sallet, one of America's leading experts on domestic terrorism.
The Union League Club of Chicago's Lunch@65West series invites you to a special presentation featuring FBI Special Agent in Charge Jeffrey S. Sallet.
In 2013, then-Special Agent Sallet led the white collar crime unit in the Bureau’s Boston Field Office. On April 15, he was running in the Marathon when the bombs exploded. By day’s end he had been appointed the new head of counter-terrorism and ordered to lead the investigation, find the bombers, and bring them to justice. Three days and nine hours later, one suspect was dead and the second captured. This is the story behind that investigation: the facts, the breaks, the mistakes, and the lessons learned that changed forever how the FBI combats domestic terrorism.
Our forum begins with registration at 11:30 a.m., followed by lunch and the program at noon and adjournment by 1:30 p.m. The cost of the November 8 Lunch@65West is $35 per person (plus Eventbrite processing fee). For more information, please call the Public Affairs office at (312) 435-5946.
