Bootcamp Prep in a Month (NYC Campus)

NOTE: Bootcamp Prep is a course for people who already have some familiarity with code and want to take their skills to the next level. It covers the intermediate programming concepts you’ll need to pass the Fullstack and Grace Hopper Program assessments. 
Before signing up, please complete this practice test to make sure the program is right for you. A score of 6-13 qualifies you to move forward and sign up for this course.

Students who take it are 2.5 times more likely to get into a rigorous coding bootcamp like Fullstack Academy or the all-women’s Grace Hopper Program than those who don’t.
What’s more, Bootcamp Prep In a Month culminates in a special a risk-free assessment offered only to Bootcamp Prep students.
If you pass, you may submit that assessment to our Admissions department as your official Fullstack Academy or Grace Hopper Program assessment and skip straight to the next phase of the admissions process (the technical interview). If you don’t pass, you won’t be penalized in any way. All applicants have two chances to pass our admissions process, and the risk-free assessment does not count as one of those chances.
How It Works

Class will be held Mon - Thurs nights, 6:40 - 9:40pm CT and Fri 12/6 & 12/13, 6:40 - 9:40pm

14 class meetings over 3.5 weeks

Total of 36 hrs of classwork

Classes held in lower Manhattan on Fullstack Academy/Grace Hopper Program campus 

Class requires 10 hours of pre-work

Attendance taken daily via our learning management system

Any classes that fall on holidays/are cancelled due to inclement weather will be rescheduled

The JavaScript-oriented Bootcamp Prep In a Month course is taught by Fullstack Academy and Grace Hopper Program graduates now working full-time as developers, who can share their experiences and will give you a feel for the vibe here.
The curriculum for Bootcamp Prep includes lectures, workshops, pair programming, coding challenges, and a culminating project--many of the same elements you’ll find in our immersive programs, which is why Bootcamp Prep is great practice for ultimately enrolling in a coding bootcamp.

What to Know Beforehand
Bootcamp Prep In a Month is a great option for those who’ve already had some exposure to code--especially JavaScript--and either know they enjoy it or want to figure out if they do. If you consider yourself a beginner (for example, if you’ve never written any code before), Bootcamp Prep is not for you.*
Once you sign up for Bootcamp Prep, you’ll receive access to about 10 hours of pre-work, so you can get familiar with the coding concepts we’ll touch on before you jump into class. **All students must complete this pre-work in order to succeed in class.** If you realize the pre-work is too difficult, you may request a refund until 24 hours before class starts.
Finally, you’ll need to bring a laptop with you to every class (Mac is preferred, but Windows is fine). Monitors will be provided.
