Bloomsday Festival 2020

Celebrate Leopold Bloom’s fictional journey through the streets of Dublin as imagined in James Joyce’s epic Ulysses. Lauded as the greatest novel of all time, Ulysses has been called everything from masterfully moving to hilariously obscene. The Rosenbach’s rollicking day-long reading of Ulysses will feature literati, artists, public figures, and familiar personalities along with musical performances that will bring the book to life. 

Bloomsday is free and open to everyone. Joyce enthusiasts and novices alike can drop by any time during the day to listen to the reading, relax in our Bloomsday Beer Garden with local food trucks, and catch a glimpse of Joyce’s manuscript with free admission to The Rosenbach

For the Bloomsday Festival 2020, we’ve made the decision to hold our celebration on Saturday, June 13 to make the event accessible to all. Nothing is changing about the festival except for the date! Read more about the change on our blog.

Please be aware that video filming/still photography will occur at the Bloomsday Festival - Saturday, June 16 from 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. By entering the filming/photography area, you give your consent to be filmed/photographed and have the footage used in perpetuity as The Rosenbach, its partners, and the media see fit. If you wish not to be filmed/photographed, please notify a Rosenbach staff member.
