Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign and call-to-action. Stop the Bleed is intended to cultivate grassroots efforts that encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives. This class is free to the public.
In 90 minutes, participants will learn how to recognize life-threatening bleeding and intervene by applying a tourniquet to an arm or leg, or by packing a wound with gauze or cloth and holding pressure. These actions by an immediate responder can save a life! This class is free to the public
Class will be held in the Professional Building #5 (Texas Health Resources University) at the southern most tip of the campus. Parking is free! Refrigerator and vending machines available. Bring exact change, please.
