Bike Packing the Lost Pines Region

This cycle tour travels through the rolling landscape of the Bastrop Piney Woods. REI provides your bike personal tent transportation gear and food; just bring your own sleeping bag! Set at the perfect time of year to enjoy the outdoors this ride travels along Park Road 1C starting at Bastrop State Park and ending at Buescher State Park. You will enjoy this classic route from the seat of an REI Co-op Cycles ARD bike fitted with Ortlieb bags. Learn the basics of bike packing preparation planning and execution while enjoying the benefits of this cycle tour that provides all necessary gear and instruction along the way. We will be vehicle supported and geared to accommodate most skill levels but will require an intermediate level of fitness as we\'ll cover roughly 18 miles and 700\' of elevation gain. Transportation is provided from the REI Downtown Austin store. There is no better way to do a trip like this! Ages 18 and up.
