The Big Run

On June 3, let’s inspire the runner in everyone.
2020 is a big year for us! We are teaming up with Matt's Run to Fight Hunger this year to make the Big Run bigger and better!  All of the proceeds for this year will go the Second Harvest Food Bank.  This is the fourth year of The Big Run®, our annual nationwide 5K event on Global Running Day.  Alongside Brooks Running, we celebrate our local communities by bringing tens of thousands of runners together to cross a finish line and achieve a goal.
We have options for everyone - a Road 5K, Trail 5K, and Kid's Dash.  Crazy Running will be on hand to provide childcare for those kids ages 4-14 whose parents want to run the 5K after their kid runs the Kid's Dash.

Matt’s Run to Fight Hunger originated to celebrate Matt Ketterman’s 23-year running streak of not missing a day.  Yes, that is 8,700 days in a row.  While Matt retired his streak due to surgery in 2015, his passion for feeding hungry families continues.  Second Harvest Food Bank has been the recipient of thousands of meals due to the generosity of those of you in the running community!
