Betty Shabazz Int'l Charter School Presents Screening of Black Panther

Come join us in your flyest African attire or costume as we transform Studio Movie Grill into the Kingdom of Wakanda for a cultural celebration and private showing of Marvel's Black Panther!

This fundraising screening is a highly anticipated event where we can all come together to appreciate a good movie, but also to raise money for our S.T.E.A.M (Science Technology Engineering Arts & Math) programmatic initiatives.  

The evening will begin at 5:30pm with DJ B-Man, who will be spinning the latest and greatest Afrobeat songs while our Master of Ceremonies, Discopoet Khari B, will be adding flavor to the evening. There will also be various presentations and a procession with African drummers and dancers. And what good is a Afrofuturistic cosplay event without a costume constest? We encourage attendees to be as creative as you want. The movie begins at 7pm, your ticket includes a small popcorn and fountain drink.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? Yes. Black Panther is rated

rated PG-13 for intense sequences of violence throughout. So attendees must follow age guideline of the theater.

What's the refund policy?

No refund you can share the ticket with anyone of your chosing or donate your ticket to us. Email rlee@bsics.org if you would like to donate ticket.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Yes! When you and your guest arrive please stop at the registration table and we will be ready to assist!

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

Yes. People buy tickets for others all the time. It is ok if the name on the ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends. But everyone must have a ticket (prefereable physical, so please print them out in advance). Our team at the registration table and we will be happy to assist!
