Do you work with people with dementia, special needs or sensory loss due to aging? Are you a family caregiver? This workshop can give you the skills to reduce their agitation and anxiety and enhance their feeling of security and belonging, through positive tactile contact.

Benevolent Touch, developed more than 30 years ago by St. Ann Center founder and president Sr. Edna Lonergan, was designed to help certified nursing assistants, activity aides, COTAs, therapists, nurses, social workers, chaplains and personal care workers. St. Ann Center has taught BT to people from across the country, in hospitals, veterans facilities, nursing homes, hospice and adult day centers. St. Ann Center has even taught Benevolent Touch to child care workers, who use it to calm agitated toddlers and infants.

Cost is $60, which includes the $20 manual. Registration deadline is Oct. 4. To learn more, visit https://stanncenter.org/community/massage-wellness/, where you can download the registration form. For more info, email sandya@stanncenter.org or call (414) 977-5076.
