Beginning/Intermediate Metalsmithing 6-week Artist Series (WED A.M.)

Starts January 22nd (Wednesdays, from 9:00AM - NOON for 6 weeks)

Participants will learn basic fabrication techniques such as piercing, forming, soldering, hollow forms and surface finishing. There will be demonstrations on stone setting techniques for rings & pendants. Discussions will include applying the principles of design to jewelry making and how to improve craftsmanship. This class is open to beginners & intermediate metalsmiths. 

Non-members: $195 for 6 weeks. Members: $156. Workshop fee does not include materials. Wire and cabochons available to purchase at first class.

Instructor bio: Tina Dinsmore has been designing beautiful jewelry since the mid-1990’s when she lived in Tucson, Arizona. Tina moved to Maine in 2000 where she set up a studio in the Arts District of downtown Portland. Over the years, Tina has refined her design and created a body of simple elegant jewelry she is recognized for today. She currently has a studio in South Portland.
