Starting your dialogue with clay, students are exposed to a variety of basic terminology and skills for throwing on the wheel. Wether rekindling an old friendship with pottery or getting acquainted with this timeless art form; the program offers students an opportunity to participate in every stage of the throwing process. From wedging, throwing on various wheels, trimming, form finishing, glazing and firing in the kiln; everything that you need to know to get started on your pottery journey is covered in this introductory class. Rising potters meet once a week for eight weeks and will give you the tools necessary for taking that next step down your personal clay path!
