This is an entry-level course for those with no to very little tennis experience. You will be introduced to the fundamentals of stroke technique, grips, rules and etiquette of the sport, basic singles and doubles play. You will participate in drills, games and play.
Tennis classes are open to UM faculty/staff/students and those 18 years of age and older. A UM Recreational Sports membership is not required if you have no need to enter the Central Campus Recreation Building (locker rooms, restrooms).
This class meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00-5:00 PM from September 8-October 8, 2020.

What do I need to bring to class?
A tennis racket , tennis shoes with non-marking soles, water, and a mask.
What is your COVID-19 policy?
Equipment will be wiped down before and after class. Hand sanitizer will be readily available. Instructors and participants will be required to complete a COVID-19 questionnaire before class begins (please stay home if you're feeling unwell or experiencing any symptoms). Masks are required and we will practice social distancing. All University of Michigan, Governor's executive orders, and CDC guidelines will be followed.
What is the cancellation/refund policy?
You may cancel up until 7 days before the class is scheduled to begin. In order to obtain a refund, log on to EventBrite and request your refund.
