Beginning to Blossom Mother Daughter Tea 10-12 year old

Event ended

The Mother/Daughter program explores God’s special gift of fertility and the beauty and wonder of God’s plan for growing up and becoming a woman.  Topics include the changes in a young woman’s body as it prepares for the possibility of motherhood; the functions of the female reproductive system; a woman’s cycle and charting; the sanctity of human life; the virtue of chastity; and a confidential question and answer segment. This program provides an atmosphere of love and learning in which to discuss the important topics of growing up and to establish a foundation for continued communication between parent and child.  The presentations will emphasize respect, understanding, and appreciation for God’s gifts. Come and join us for an afternoon of good food, raffle prizes, and fun!  If a girl’s mother is not available, her grandmother, aunt or another supportive adult is welcome to attend with her.  Girls younger than 10 who are already developing and showing signs of puberty are welcome to attend. Cost is $30 for mother and daughter, $12 for additional daughter, (non-refundable). Scholarships are available.  Seating is limited and reservations are required by Feb. 16, 2018. For more information contact: Sharon Flanagan at (315)470-1417 or email: sflanagan@syrdio.org
