49th State Brewing is excited to offer our Beginning Beekeeping class series. The monthly schedule offers two prep classes before the bees arrive, and one afterwards to cover ongoing care.
Classes will cover everything you need to know to set yourself up for success, including:
Equipment and bees best suited for our climate
Basic bee biology;
Installing and caring for new colonies;
Recognizing and diagnosing problems;
Harvesting honey;
Getting your bees through the winter
You will be meeting in the Barrel Rooms at 49th State Brewing's downtown brewpub. Participants are welcome to enjoy food and/or beverages during class (limited snacks will be provided).
