In The Future, We're All Dominican
Baratunde's one-human comedy show featuring stories from the revisionist future.
His mother was an activist, lover of organic foods, and computer programmer. He was raised in Washington D.C. before rich white people returned to re-claim the land. He’s been online since 1993, and now, at 40 years old, he’s got theories on the future of everything. Join Baratunde Thurston, former executive from The Daily Show and The Onion, as he takes you on a journey into a techno-fabulous future informed by our sometimes-terrible past.
Baratunde Thurston is an Emmy-nominated TV host and author of the New York Times best-seller How To Be Black. He’s worked for The Onion and The Daily Show and co-created the About Race podcast. He’s given the closing talk at TED, advised the last legitimate U.S. White House (Obama’s), and is a member of the SXSW Interactive Hall of Fame.
