AZ Kinship Parenting, Policy & Advocacy Summit 2020

Join kinship caregivers from around the state in a day of networking, advocacy, and education. This is the day where we come together to talk about issues important to kinship, and to decide our policy priorities for the following year. Need childcare? We offer activities for your children throughout the day, including swimming and rock climbing. Childcare is included in the family rate.  

Here's what to expect from the day:

• Coffee, pastries, and lunch
• Trauma-informed training (morning)
• Legislative Panel (afternoon)
• DES/DCS representatives will be on-site to answer your questions ALL DAY
• Policy Priorities Discussion (afternoon)
• Raffle tickets for everyone
• Structured activities for kids and teenagers
• Meet new friends!

Early bird registration opens on July 1st. Ticket prices are as follows:

• Early Birds July 1 - August 15:
• $5 for each kinship adult
• $10 for 1 kinship adult + childcare 
• Regular tickets: August 16 - September 12:
• $10 for each kinship adult
• $20 for 1 kinship adult + childcare
• Late Bird Ticket September 13 - September 25:
• $25 for each kinship adult (No childcare will be sold after Sept 12)

ATTN: We are open now for sponsorships!!   At the Summit we network, choose policy priorities, and mobilize for advocacy. We interact with elected leaders and community groups to help us do an even better job of raising the next generation for Arizona. It is only through community support and organizational sponsorships that we can cover the costs for this summit. Our grandfamilies have told us how important childcare is for their ability to participate in the Summit, so we are determined to raise enough funds to ensure every family can attend at the same low rate as previous years ($5-$20).  Our goal is to raise $10,000 to host 200 participants, and we need your help.  Please consider being a sponsor for our Summit - we have sponsorships available for all budgets.  

New for 2020: Due to COVID-19, we want to bring as many resources as possible in for our kinship families.  This year we are offering FREE resource tables for organizations who provide free resources to kinship families.  You will receive 1 chair and 1/2 of a table to present your resources.  Please sign up below if you would like to reserve a table (space is limited).
