Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University      A unique speaker for our event, Michael Glauser walks the line between entrepreneurship and higher education. He has started and sold businesses — making him an expert in entrepreneurship. He is also a Ph.D. — running an entrepreneurship school at Utah State. Michael is the perfect blend of someone who has done it all, is still doing what it takes, and also holds immense credibility in the higher ed space. We are thrilled to have him spend the day with us at the Avanti Higher Education Summit.  Mike has extensive experience as an entrepreneur, business consultant and university professor. He is the cofounder and chairman of My New Enterprise, an online training and development company for aspiring entrepreneurs. His is also the founder and former CEO of Golden Swirl Management Company and of Northern Lights. Mike has consulted with hundreds of startup companies and large corporations in the areas of business strategy, organization effectiveness and leadership development. His clients have included Associated Food Stores, The Boeing Company, Department of Workforce Services and Esso of Inter-America.  Mike has published numerous articles in magazines and three books on entrepreneurship: “Glorious Accidents,” “The Business of Heart” and “Main Street Entrepreneur,” which chronicles his 4,000 mile bicycle ride across America to interview 100 remarkable entrepreneurs who have successfully merged livelihood and lifestyle in places they want to live. Magazine 5000 Growth Company, is the host of The Avanti Entrepreneur podcast, was a TEDx speaker, and is an adjunct professor at the University of Rochester, as well as the author of business and college planning books. David graduated from the University at Buffalo with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications/Advertising. He is also a graduate of the MIT Entrepreneurial Masters Program, an executive education program offered through the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO).
