Astro Camp (Session 1: Grades 5th-7th)
The Children’s Museum of St. Tammany is excited to offer (2) week-long Astro Camp® sessions this summer at our brand-new interim location at Kids Town. Astro Camp® is a part of the NASA Out of School-time Learning (NOSL) network. This program provides opportunities for future astronauts and engineers to learn about space and Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics or STEM.
CMST is out of this world with anticipation to welcome our first campers and spark their interest in learning the basics of engineering, rocketry, robotics and computer science while having fun. This STEM-centric program has been developed with age-appropriate learning in mind for campers from 2nd - 7th grade. This year’s camp theme is “Next Generation to Mars: Full STEAM Ahead!”
Registrations will be limited to 35 campers per session. Ours is a 2-step registration process after which you will receive an email confirming your child's spot. Please visit our website to complete registration:
Camp will be held from 8:00 am - 3:30 pm at the Children's Museum of St. Tammany at Kids Town, 21404 Koop Drive, Mandeville, LA 70448. Camp activities will take place in CMST's multi-purpose room and outdoor spaces weather permitting.
