Artist Workshop: Share Your Artistic Vision With Better Portfolio Language

Art has the power to speak directly to our hearts, but sometimes we need to put our ideas into words as well. Jessica Gardner of Artglish is a language coach with a background in both art and ESL (English as a second language). In this interactive workshop, she’ll share strategies to help you make your portfolio language more accurate, engaging, and organized so that you can share your creative vision with confidence. Participants are encouraged to have a digital jpeg image of their artwork to screen share via zoom with fellow attendees.

About the Presenter: Guest Speaker, Jessica Gardner, started Artglish to blend her two favorite things, working with artists/designers and language coaching. Her mission is to help creative professionals change the world by sharing their ideas more confidently. Jessica enjoys working with anyone who struggles to describe their creative process. Her ESL teaching background also enables her to help non-native English speakers in useful, unique ways.

About ArtSpan Artist Workshops: ArtSpan presents monthly 90-minute workshops designed to sharpen business and financial literacy for professional artists, prepare artists for exhibiting work inside and outside the studio, and encourage community between fellow artists and the public. Through these community events ArtSpan creates a platform for artists to thrive, fostering a Bay Area that values the arts.

Workshops are free to attend for all ArtSpan Artists Members. A $20 suggested donation is requested from Non-Member attendees. No one turned away for lack of funds.
