Articulate This: Minding Your Own Business  

It’s not always a hustle, baby. Taking time to be mindful in your business yields a more sustainable practice and great rewards. Business owners are often reminded about all those “hats” they wear, but with only one head,....the struggle is real. Get advice and practical tips for how to find a time & energy balance in your creative entrepreneurship with these goals in mind:

We’ll talk about the signature moves of an entrepreneurial style practice and how to make some or all work in your favor, and when/where/why creatives can break the business mold… and when not to.

Articulate This is a weekly lecture series that provides resources and education on a diverse array of topics for artist and creatives who manage their businesses. Thea Fotiu Howell, The Artist’s Concierge applies her 25 years in the arts as a public arts administrator, teaching artist, museum educator, gallery owner, and visual artist to her work of “Designing Better Businesses for Artists & Creatives.” She simplifies business concepts for creative industries, making them exciting, relatable, and practical. More about Thea and her services can be found here on the website.

* Important note about the program run time:
The lecture series events begin approx. 15 minutes after the start time and end 15 minutes before the end times listed. Please arrive by the start time listed. This is done to allow for registrants to be seated before the program officaly begins and for approx. 10-15 minutes of questions at the close of the presentation.  

* What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Free Parking is available in The Frontier Building main parking lot. The program is held in the Canyon Room on the 1st floor of The Frontier Building. 

* What's the refund policy?

There are no refunds on ticket registration. 

 * Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

Ticket fees/registration is non-transferrable. 

* Food & beverage options:

A food truck shows up at The Frontier’s 800 Building every day from 11:30am – 1:30pm. And on Fridays, Fidelity Investments and The Research Triangle Foundation of NC host a Food Truck Rodeo in between the 800 Building and 700 Building with 4-6 different trucks. 

 * Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
