Why art journal? Art Journaling is creative fun, can be insightful and therapeutic as well. We'll begin meeting one afternoon a month and more often if that's what we decide we want to do. We'll begin each session with a word, a concept, a new technique, or a new art medium. We'll share and explore together. Relax and enjoy a hot or cold beverage from Aldea as you create in your journal and share special time with the others at the table. This type of art activity is for people of all abilities, so don't think you can't do this because you're not an artist. We're all exploring and on a journey of some sort. This will be a safe, non-judgemental space.
All you need to do is bring your own art journal. Any sketchbook or journal will work, but heavier paper is best. Mixed media paper is great. Old books work as well. The Armory Art Center has all the supplies we need, but group members may wish to bring in their own favorites. Ideas for pages will be ready, but please feel free to add your own project ideas as the group moves forward.
We can't wait to see you at the table - which by the way, is limited to 10 people, so don't hesitate to sign up.
