Arm Balance Workshop with Eugene
Join Eugene in an arm balance workshop! After a brief warm-up, this workshop will explore basic to challenging arm balance poses: side plank, crow, side crow, peacock, flying lizard, etc. All are welcome as everyone can approach this at their own pace and comfort.
Balancing on your arms does not mean relying on strong arms and bearing all your weight on them. We will learn the concept of shifting our weight, engaging muscle groups, especially our core, and counter-balancing, so our arms hold the least amount of weight possible. Our goal is to feel light and weightless.
We will float, fly, balance, lift-up, go sideways, or use a wall if needed. This will be a fun and light approach as we explore. Be ready to challenge yourself but not feel intimidated. As always, Eugene provides an open forum for trying new things and refining arm balances that remain a challenge for you.
