ARLINGTON HEIGHTS’ NEWEST LIVE MUSIC AND DINING DESTINATION – HEY NONNY – ANNOUNCES OFFICIAL OPENING DATE IN OCTOBER

Chicagoland’s newest music venue and eatery, Hey Nonny, 10 S. Vail Ave., Arlington Heights, will officially open to the public Thursday, October 18. In its intimate listening room, Hey Nonny will present the best Chicago and touring musicians playing jazz, rock, blues, country, reggae, classical, and folk in ticketed concerts six nights a week.  Farm-to-table cuisine will be featured in the Hey Nonny Gastropub.  Hey Nonny will celebrate with a grand opening weekend Friday, October 25 – Saturday, October 27.

“We are thrilled to bring the first music venue of its kind to the heart of downtown Arlington Heights,” said Hey Nonny Co-Founder Chip Brooks. “Co-Founder Chris Dungan and I got tired of driving 45 minutes to Chicago or Evanston for a great music venue, so we’re building one close to home.”  Dungan added “‘Hey Nonny Nonny’ means ‘carefree bliss’ in old English songs and in one of our favorite Violent Femmes songs.  ‘Hey Nonny’ expresses the lighthearted fun we want people to have in our music venue and pub.”

Focused on creating an intimate music experience, Hey Nonny’s 1400-square foot music venue will hold up to 150 guests in flexible seating or standing formats; the venue will feature high-end sound and lighting systems, ideal acoustics, an 18-foot wide stage, and a Yamaha grand piano. Separating the music venue from the Gastropub, a 24-foot-wide retractable acoustic wall will allow for the listening room and Gastropub to be separated or combined into one large space.

Hey Nonny’s farm-to-table menu will offer small plates, shareables, and entrees with ingredients sourced from local farms. Signature dishes will include unique snack options like charcuterie boards and a duck confit jar, along with entrees such as a wild boar tomahawk chop and a Syrah-braised lamb shank.  The full menu will be available in the Gastropub and at 16 Premium seats in the listening room. Guests will enjoy signature cocktails such as a Pink Bourbon Lady, Plum Bourbon and Elderflower, Concord Gin Fizz, and The Libertine as well as locally sourced beers and spirits from notable Midwest breweries and distilleries and wines that will be local if you’re from Sonoma or Bordeaux.

Hey Nonny will be open Tuesdays through Thursdays 5 p.m. – 12 a.m., Fridays 3 p.m. – 1 a.m., Saturdays 10 a.m. – 1 a.m., and Sundays 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
