Annual Spring Luncheon

Join Middle Way House on Thursday, April 5th from 11 AM-1 PM for our Annual Spring Luncheon in recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. The Honorable Valeri Haughton, an African-American woman, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, and a Circuit Court Judge since 2008, will give a talk entitled “#MeToo…Fighting Back, Moving Forward: My Journey.”

Judge Haughton's adult career has been dedicated to public service. Prior to her graduation from the University of Iowa College of Law, she was a mental health counselor for about twenty years. She enrolled in law school when she was 40, a divorced mother of three.

The luncheon is generously hosted and provided by the women of Alpha Chi Omega. Doors open at 11 AM with appetizers. Lunch, which includes dessert, will be served promptly at noon. Tickets ($25/guest) can be purchased by visiting:  http://middlewayhouse.org/annual-spring-luncheon/. 

The event raises awareness and funds for the nonprofit emergency shelter and rape crisis center that serves six counties in southern Indiana. The luncheon will be held at the Alpha Chi Omega house, located at 1000 North Jordan Ave.
