Animal Mother-Josh Kline, Jon Massey, and Matt McAllister/Brad Linde Group-Georgetown Day School
Animal Mother is a garage jazz trio based in Cincinnati. They have performed in over twenty five cities, opened for acts such as Morris Day & The Time, Boney James, Bob Mould (of Husker Dü), and Kamasi Washington and have recorded two studio albums. Their next album, Dance Til You Puke, will be released this summer.
Georgetown Day School, located in Washington DC, boasts a large jazz and creative music program directed by Brad Linde. The ensembles learn classic repertoire by the likes of Duke Ellington, Charlie Parker, and Miles Davis, in addition to exploring approaches to improvisation by John Zorn, Anthony Braxton, Ran Blake, and more. The curriculum includes performance tours, festival and conference participation, and frequent visiting guest artists. This mini-tour is part of a 3-day minimester where students can experience learning off campus.
$10 drink minimum charged per person in party if the total for beverages purchased by the party does not meet the minimum.
