From tracking beef, tracing car and aircraft parts to verifying luxury bags and diamonds, blockchain technology is providing companies and consumers unprecedented insight into where goods have come from and every step they took along the supply chain. This carries the further benefit of allowing corporations to identify and root out unethical practices or labor conditions; notably, Coca-Cola conducted a blockchain pilot project with the US State Department aimed at eliminating forced labor in its supply chains.
