ZAYNAB ABDULQADIR-MORRIS, UC Berkeley (African-American Studies Major) ASHLEY HAYES, University of Michigan (Afroamerican and African Studies Major, Education for Empowerment Minor) DANA KING, Journalist and Artist—ModeratorJoin artist and journalist Dana King and two young scholars after they travel on the Club’s trip, “On the Road to FREEDOM: Understanding the Civil Rights Movement” in March. The group will have spent time in Jackson, Little Rock, Memphis, Birmingham, Selma and Montgomery. Come hear a discussion on the movement from a historical perspective and in terms of how it impacts young people today.  LOCATION: 110 The Embarcadero, Toni Rembe Rock Auditorium, SAN FRANCISCO TIME: 5:30 p.m. check-in, 6 P.M. PROGRAM followed by reception NOTE: In partnership with Cinnamongirl Inc [https://www.cinnamongirl.org/].
